Belinha Silva is a contemporary Portuguese artist, born in Lisbon and now living in Albufeira, Algarve. From a young age, drawing and painting were part of her everyday life, earning her prizes in children’s competitions. Although she initially pursued finance and a European career, art remained an essential part of her journey. In 2005, during her first workshop in Brussels, she experienced what she calls “The Revelation” — the moment she fully embraced creating as a necessity. Since then, she has been a self-taught artist, guided by emotion, intuition, and curiosity. Her work spans surrealism, abstraction, and pop art, often inspired by her travels, cultural roots, and personal experiences. She explores diverse materials and invents new techniques, including Porcelain Fusion on Canvas (2017), which combines painting with hand-painted porcelain fragments to create three-dimensional works. Belinha has exhibited internationally since 2020 and has received 14 International Art Awards. She was named Art Ambassador of Portugal (2024), awarded International Artist of the Year (2025) and, last week, the International Award Michelangelo in Italy. Her art invites viewers to look beyond colour and form, discovering hidden narratives and emotions, reflecting her belief that art is a path to fulfilment and a bridge between memory, beauty, and human experience.
