The Portfolio Show & Open Call has a truly intriguing concept. We accept any concept or idea, any style, any technique, any theme or topic. That just does not matter!
Then who matters?
Well, YOU DO!
In the Portfolio Show, as the name suggests, the main characters are the artists themselves. In the modern world, we believe that the only option to build a great artistic career is to showcase multiple artworks to get better known for your style.
This is why in the Portfolio Show we look for artists who can present
PORTFOLIOS
with at least
8 ARTWORKS
of the same style or technique.
We also need you to provide a portrait image of yourself, a short bio (max. 200 words), and a description for your artistic style. This will be shown before and after your artworks in the slideshow to ensure the clients meet you and your art simultaneously.

Website visitors keep asking why do we charge on open call or exhibition fees. We understand that additional costs usually are felt as hidden costs and fraud. SUBMISSION
Hereby the Golden Duck Gallery as the host of the New York Monograph Open Call & Show states the Guidelines of submission to the Open Call, its jury and exhibition process. Please read thoroughly to understand the submission process.
MEDIA
There are no media limitations. You can freely submit:
All kinds of physical paintings
Digital Paintings
Photography
Sculptures
Installations
For submission purposes a high-definition image of your artwork is needed. The photo has to be without watermarks or other elements that are blocking your artwork from viewing it. The maximum size is 5MB.
Submissions without photos or with low-definition photos shall be dismissed automatically
CONTENT LIMITATIONS
The New York Monograph Open Call states a broad topic of light & shadows. Any artwork, from hyperrealistic to abstract, should have an accent on lighting, shadows or an shape to be exhibited in the New York Monograph Portfolio Show.
The Golden Duck Gallery does not exhibit any content or art containing scenes of severe violence, political, racial or sexual harrassment or religious content that violates the rights of religious communities.
The Golden Duck Gallery shall not exhibit any content that violates the US Law.
JURY RESULTS
The jury takes place between October 20 - 23
The jury shall take all artists and artworks into consideration
The jury shall choose portfolios that shall be exhibited on screen.
The results will be announced on the Results page of the website before October 28, 2025. You will also get an email that the results are posted on the website.
The results shall be considered final only after the email is sent.
The Award Winners shall be informed and announced after the start of the show. The Results of Award Jury shall be announced on a live stream event in the gallery's Instagram account on November 7, 2025, at 18:00 CET, and published on the Results of Open Calls page. All participants shall also be informed by email.
EXHIBITION COSTS
Please note that the open call entry fee is the only cost you pay during the open call, jury and exhibition process. The open call fee is a service fee that covers jury, communications & online exhibition preparations and is generally non-refundable.

EXHIBITION
The exhibition starts on October 31, 2025 in Suites by NYLO Dental, Manhattan, New York.
The on-screen exhibition will last between October 31 and November 28, 2025.
The Online Show will be available on the Golden Duck Gallery website until October 31, 2026

This innovative kind of exhibition is a new concept in the world of art, as we involve the very best locations all over the world to showcase the art on screens. This way we don't just avoid customs clearance and unnecessary shipping. We do a lot more!
