Hidden in HuennDescription:nHidden in Hue is a digital collage in which I explore the construction of identity through the juxtaposition of visual elements that oscillate between the ancestral and the contemporary. I started with a black and white photograph of a female figure holding a traditional Japanese doll and intervened it with vibrant colors, patterns, and handmade drawings.nnThe woman's face is partially covered by a fuchsia mask that is, in fact, my own face. This gesture is an attempt to unite her past with my present, to create a bridge between our cultures, our histories, and our moments, in an act of connection and gratitude. Around the figure float birds, flowers, symbols, and ghosts: entities that evoke the dreamlike, the spiritual, that which imbues our lives with meaning, but which we often hide out of fear.nnDrawing these ghosts and demons is, for me, an act of liberation: to give space to those silenced shadows. Hidden in Hue is a look into other lives, an attempt to bring them back to the surface, transforming the nostalgic into something alive and vibrant through color, textures, and contrasts.
