Md. Mahmudul Hasan (b. 1982, Bangladesh) is a watercolor and acrylic artist whose works evoke the lyrical beauty of Bangladesh’s rivers, skies, and light-filled landscapes. A lifelong creator, Hasan was active in painting, crafting, and writing from his early childhood days, earning many awards for his artistic and literary pursuits. After completing his studies at the University of Dhaka, his creative journey paused when he entered the corporate world in 2007. Currently he is working as an investment manager in a commercial bank.nnDuring the global lockdown in 2020, silence and stillness rekindled his artistic spirit. Brushes once again touched paper, and the artist was reborn. Since then, Hasan has exhibited widely across Europe, Asia, and America, including in Paris, Zurich, Budapest, Prague, Istanbul, Shanghai, New York, and Dhaka.nnDrawn deeply to watercolor for its transparency and unpredictability, Hasan explores both representational and abstract forms, seeking harmony between light, rhythm, and emotion. His paintings often celebrate the tranquil waterways and shifting moods of nature that surround his homeland.nnHasan is an Associate Member of the American Watercolor Society and recipient of numerous international honors, including the Best Painting Award at the Prague International Art Exhibition (2023). Through his art, he seeks to capture the fleeting poetry of life itself.
