"The Tree of Art" painting is inspired by the oldest tree on Earth called Methuselah which is a 4,856-year-old (in 2025). A tree's age is measured by the thickness of its trunk. Methuselah is therefore the oldest known living tree trunk on our planet. My painting exudes the strength of such a trunk, capable of outliving almost anything. Well rooted and with access to water, it grows stronger. The tree's crown is composed of shells, ammonites, and fossils, which, despite the passage of time, have not lost their color. The crown vibrates with deeply saturated, expressive colors, reminiscent of moving whales or a flock of butterflies. This painting is about how the passage of time can mean many wrinkles on the surface, but also a blaze of color within. Creativity, increased vitality, the need to create, and inner stability can become more conscious with age. It depends only on us. So, I dedicate this painting to the Art itself, because Art means Life. Technically, the painting is painted with palette knives, with the paint thinned and applied straight from the tube. The painting has a distinct, thick texture and density.
