My name is Aleksandra Żmuda. I was born in 2002 in Sucha Beskidzka. I graduated from the Fine Arts High School in Krakow. I am 4th year student of painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. My paintings and drawings are focused on equestrian themes. The subject I refer to is extremely close to me, due to spending time with horses in childhood, getting to know their way of being, observing, learning. I am delighted by their form, expression, stock-in-trade. The sincerity of their behavior, which we, humans, lack. Thenunforced strength and causative power embodies what is boiling in our minds, not wanting toescape them due to stagnation and reluctance to act. I am constantly looking for new solutions and expressions in this direction. I value leading a "frivolous line" in creation - my own, free, leading through the image, realizing forms resulting from experience and observation. In creation, the final work brings me joy, but it is the process that incredibly excites me. It leads through more or less known paths, into often surprising solutions that I discover along the way. To make a project, I always start with a sketch that sets the goal. However, I have more than once strayed from the main plan of work, which is created at the same time as the sketch, in favor of something new in my development. Creative action is what absorbs me completely.
